Discover the Ciron, a tributary of the Garonne which rises at the eastern end of the Landes de Gascogne, cuts its gorge from Préchac to Villandraut, then flows into the Garonne at the Port de Barsac. The contrast in temperature between the two waters favors the appearance of morning fog, which is partly responsible for the development of the Garonne.

Despite numerous past attempts to stabilize it, the Pilat Dune remains mobile and "rolls" on itself. Its movement, favored by the scarcity of vegetation, continues as long as the wind brings sand. As a result, it moves irregularly between 1 and 5 m per year towards the forest. Fixation is no longer an option.
